SOME COMMONLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Is their any religious or spiritual
affiliation to Born on the Mountaintop?
Absolutely not. Our courses are taught in a unique and
non-traditional manner that appeals to people of all faiths and
backgrounds. We do not preach ideals. Instead we encourage free
thought and open discussion. Born on the Mountaintop invites you to
take an inner journey and uncover your own realizations.
How is this course different from
motivational courses I have attended?
First of all, Born on the Mountaintop is not a motivational
course. Though we teach principles that can be applied to achieve
any success you desire, our main focus is on expanding your
awareness of how your personal freedom is inhibited by the 13 Life
Addictions, and opening the door to a perspective that will help you
break free from these inhibitions. The tools you then acquire will
empower you to move towards new possibilities and living life
according to your own terms.
It says that Born on the Mountaintop
is about personal freedom. What do you mean by "personal
freedom"?
Personal freedom is about
choice - the ability to choose your life direction unencumbered by
rules imposed on you from your upbringing, the media, your culture
and, most of all, yourself. Many of these forces are so subtle that
few people can distinguish between what they want from life and what
they have been conditioned to want. At the same time, as long as
The Greatest Lie
and Addictions rule
our lives, our potential on a personal and professional level
will be greatly inhibited.
How does Born on the Mountaintop help
people realize personal freedom?
The first step of the weekend experience entails becoming aware
of the ways in which the Greatest Lie and the 13 Life Addictions may
be limiting your experience of love and freedom. Since each of us
has been conditioned in different ways, the workshop has been
designed in a way to allow you to explore your own mind to uncover
how specifically each of these may be inhibiting your self-worth and personal
freedom.
Once you have a thorough understanding of how Life Addictions and
The Greatest Lie affect
you, you then become aware of a completely different approach – an
approach that challenges and helps you break free from these
patterns. This is a very exciting process because you don’t know what
you or anyone will find here. Everyone will have a different idea of
what freedom means to them when they explore the possibilities of
living without these forces in their life. That is why the exercises
within this stage allow each participant to explore this sacred place
within themselves.
We then provide a variety of practical tools and insights that allow
you to gradually reclaim your freedom in every day life. Each
participant receives a workbook and is given ample time to
reflect on themselves and explore new possibilities in their lives.
This workbook helps you to integrate and apply the tools to your
life even after the course is finished. In addition, every participant
has the option of follow-up sessions and is invited to our monthly
community sessions where past participants meet to discuss a variety
of topics and share experiences.
Is the program only for adults?
A certain amount of awareness is crucial to take full advantage
of the workshop and so currently the program appeals to adults,
college or high school students. In due time, we will create a
course that caters to even younger children. Born on the
Mountaintop is definitely an essential course for parenting
because it helps identify how we reinforce Life Addictions in our
children and adversely affect
their self-esteem.
